Greedies.
Cancelled The
GREEDY BASTARDS sadly did not appear. The House was packed no wonder when
you read the names of the musician. Instead of the GREEDYS came a band
called CAFE JAQUES with a guy called CHRIS THOMSON. 2 days later I saw
(with my camera) THE HEAVY METAL KIDS. This was the show when GARY HOLTON
fell of the high MM Stage to the danceground and on his head fell the
monitor-speaker. The MM stage is 2 Meters high !!!! |

It is not Lizzy gig,
but a charity football tournament including last minute reserves
none other than The Dublinaires . . . Bob Geldof and Philip
Lynott.
I suspect they were in
full support as reserves to assist the Penthouse Pets and the
Playboy Bunnies !!!
The event took place
on Sunday Nov 5th 1978 and was attended by several major stars
including Midge Ure, Stranglers, ELO, Rod Stewart and Elton John.
