My old beat group, The Word. Robin Williamson and
Joe Boyd were in the audience. I was really chuffed to chat with Robin in
the dressing room afterwards, as I was a big fan of The Incredible String
Band. Phil Lynott was the singer with Skid Row...Ashtar also did light
projections with Pink Floyd...Joe Boyd signed Dr Strangely Strange to
Island after hearing them at this gig...ah yes, it was all happening in
Carlow in 1968!
